I covered comedian Steve Harvey’s radio show being broadcast from the Greenbelt, Maryland Kmart for Kmart|Sears this past Tuesday morning. The four-hour show had everyone in stitches, including BeBe Winans who performed with his sister CeCe. Harvey’s appearance was to promote the return of a layaway purchase program.

Isaac Daily, 82, owns and lives in a South East Washington, DC condo which is set in a park like setting away from the noise and traffic of downtown. A widower who lost his wife in the early 1960′s, Daily is tall, lean and hasn’t ‘spent a day in the hospital’ — but his mortgage is in crisis. Dailey is the victim of predatory lending and his mortgage payment increases on a monthy basis. I photographed him in his home for McClatchy-Tribune News Service.

I was driving through Arlington, VA and noticed the memorial, which I’ve never visited. I stopped for a few minutes but the hazy sky didn’t inspire me much.
